Supporting woman in developing countries is vital in overcoming critical social issues such as poverty and unemployment. By empowering woman in developing communities and giving them access to equal opportunities, everyone benefits. Stats show that when woman are independent and empowered, the infant morality rates decreases, more children stay in school, incomes increase and the cycle of poverty can be broken.
How do we help?
We support mothers and girls in the communities we work in as we believe in the power and importance of women.
Women are full of talent and skills, but often hide it away in communities which do not value their worth. Our new Female Empowerment Programme aims to support women with businesses, teach new skills and bring them opportunities.
An educated girl can empower herself, lift her family, help her community and change her country. We are dedicated to providing young girls with equal education, opportunities and rights through our Sponsorship Programme.
Did you know that a child born to a mother who can read or write is 50% more likely to survive past the age of 5? We are working towards giving medical care and education to girls and mothers to keep the infant morality and young mother rates down.
Why support women?
When women work, economies grow.
An increase in working women leads to a faster economic growth which will eventually end intergenerational poverty.
